Golden Valley Vets are very proud of their full 24 hour a day emergency service and feel it can tackle anything. This was certainly put to the test when we received a call from an international rescue team due to leave the country within two and a half hours of their call to us for drugs to cover the dogs being taken with them to an overseas rescue mission. Having been let down at the very last minute by their previous suppliers of veterinary drugs they needed a practice large enough to be able to get a complete emergency kit together in a matter of minutes if they were to meet the flight deadline. Golden Valley Vets did not let them down and by the time the lead doctor arrived at Nailsea we had not only identified all possible conditions the dogs could face, selected and supplied the correct drugs but also sorted dosing charts and other advice to help in the event of a canine emergency. Luckily we were a bit more organised for later requests for repeat kits but we do watch the overseas news with a bit more interest now!
